FAQs about SPC Flooring

What are SPC floors?
SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) is a type of vinyl flooring composed of stone powder (calcite) and plastic materials. It differs from other vinyl and laminate flooring thanks to its rigid core, which ensures great resistance and stability.
What are the main advantages of SPC flooring?
SPC flooring combines aesthetics and performance. It is extremely resistant to wear, abrasion and impact, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. They are completely waterproof, making them perfect for kitchens, bathrooms or damp environments. Thanks to their rigid core, they maintain high dimensional stability and reduce expansion due to temperature changes. Installation is quick and easy thanks to the click system, while some lines incorporate a sound-absorbing underlay that improves comfort and reduces footfall noise.
Can I install SPC flooring over existing flooring?
Yes, SPC flooring can also be laid on top of existing surfaces such as tiles, provided they are even and level. The reduced thickness, generally between 5 and 6 mm, minimises any adjustments to doors or thresholds.
Are SPC floors compatible with underfloor heating?
Yes, Swing SPC flooring is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems. It is heat resistant, provided that the temperature does not exceed 25–26 °C.
Is it difficult to maintain an SPC floor?
Maintenance is very simple. Simply remove dust and debris regularly with a vacuum cleaner or broom, clean with a damp cloth or mop using warm water and a neutral detergent, and avoid aggressive products such as bleach or solvents. In the event of stains, it is advisable to act immediately to prevent them from being absorbed.
